A Fractured World Breeds Fear of True Connection

The Hustle to Survive

Everywhere we look, people are caught in the hustle to survive.

It’s the same story, told in different ways—the corporate worker clawing for promotions, fearing what will happen if they fall behind or dare to challenge the status quo; the small business owner underpricing their worth, afraid that if they don’t, they won’t get customers; the content creator drowning in self-promotion, hoping their voice isn’t lost in the noise.

And in my case? The Literary world.

As a new author, my inbox is flooded daily with offers—not from readers excited to connect with the message, but from people offering to review my book for a price.

At first, I engaged. I responded with honesty, and without expectation of promotion or review, knowing that reviews will come honestly and organically:

"I don’t have a budget for paid reviews, but I’ll send you an eBook for free because the message is bigger than me."

Instead of appreciation, I am met with a counter offers.

"I’ll lower my fee," they say, still expecting me to pay.

I clarify, "Are you saying you want me to pay you to read my book, in addition to giving you a free copy?"

"Yes, this is how I make a living."

These individuals are not interested in the message. They are interested in "extracting value." Not because they are bad people. Not because they are greedy at their core, but because they—like so many others—are trapped in the illusion of scarcity.

The Fear That Keeps Us Disconnected

We live in a world where fear of lack dictates everything.

It’s why people are afraid to give without guarantee. It’s why people are afraid to receive without guilt. It’s why transactional relationships have replaced genuine connection, but this isn’t about judgment. It’s about seeing.

When survival becomes the only priority, we cut ourselves off from everything that makes life meaningful. We don’t trust others, because we barely trust ourselves. We don’t give freely, because we fear there won’t be enough. We don’t receive openly, because we think we have to “earn” our worth.

This is why so many people feel lost, unfulfilled, and disconnected. They believe they are chasing security, success, and happiness… but what they’re really chasing, what we are all really chasing, is wholeness. And you cannot buy, hustle, or force your way into wholeness.

The Root of the Problem: We Have Forgotten Who We Are

The real issue isn’t money. It isn’t the economy. It isn’t even the broken system itself. The real issue is that we have forgotten our divine essence.

We have forgotten that:

• We were never incomplete.

• We were never meant to live in a constant state of fear.

• We were never separate from abundance, love, and connection.

We were taught to believe that without external validation, status, or wealth, we are nothing. And that belief keeps us chasing, taking, and hoarding—instead of trusting, giving, and receiving. But what if survival doesn’t work the way we’ve been taught? What if true abundance comes not from taking, but from aligning?

A Different Way Forward: Giving Without Fear, Receiving Without Guilt

What if we gave without fear, knowing that true abundance comes from connection, not control? What if we received without guilt, knowing that we are worthy—not because we earned it, but because we exist? What if the secret to happiness wasn’t getting more, but remembering that we already are more than enough?

Because here’s the truth:

The moment we stop hoarding, we realize there is always enough.

The moment we stop competing, we realize we were never in competition.

The moment we stop chasing, we realize what we were chasing was within us all along.

The world is shifting. The illusion is breaking.

Will you be one of the first to remember?

Questions for Reflection:

1. Where in your life are you operating from scarcity rather than trust?

2. Do you struggle to give freely? Why?

3. Do you struggle to receive without guilt? Why?

4. How would your life change if you trusted that there is always enough?

5. What’s one small way you can shift from fear into connection today?

If you take one message away from this, let it be this:

We were never meant to live in Scarcity. We were never meant to struggle for survival.

The moment we remember who we are—whole, infinite, divine—We become free.

Now, the only question left is: Will you choose to remember?
